A native of Atlanta, Kristen received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. After earning a master’s degree in science education from Georgia State University in Atlanta, she taught high school science at The Lovett School for ten years. Kristen then returned to Georgia State and completed a Master of Public Health degree, majoring in epidemiology, and served as a Communications Fellow for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Antimicrobial Resistance in Atlanta.

After serving as an emergency department medical scribe at Northside Hospital, Kristen earned a Master of Health Science in physician assistant studies from South College in Atlanta, where she graduated summa cum laude and received the Future Educator Award. She previously worked as a certified physician assistant at GI Specialists of Georgia in Marietta.

Kristen holds certifications in basic and advanced cardiovascular life support and pediatric advanced life support. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers Association, the American Gastroenterological Association, the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, and the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology.

She joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2024.
