Debra is a cum laude graduate of Hood College in Frederick, Md., where she earned a degree in biology. She received her master’s in physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University in Naples, Fla.
Previously, Debra was a teacher and taught both eighth grade science as well as 12 th grade English. Debra began her medical career as a physician assistant at Lee Health, working at both Suncoast Surgical Associates and Lee Neurosurgery, before transitioning to Southwest Florida Neurosurgical and Rehab Associates in Fort Myers.
She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA). Debra also holds certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support.
Debra is looking forward to transitioning from the OR to the clinic side where she can develop and foster more long-term relationships with her patients. Away from the office, Debra loves spending time with her husband, Sean, their two daughters, and their labradoodle, Dino. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, and traveling.
She joined Gastroenterology Associates of S.W. Florida in 2023.
