Melanie is a graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She then completed a Master of Health Science degree in physician assistant studies from Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Melanie began her career in Philadelphia as a physician assistant with Temple University Hospital before relocating to Atlanta to work for Quantum Radiology. She eventually went on to also work in pulmonary and critical care at Piedmont Hospital, and in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Atlanta Innovative Medicine. Most recently, she served as a physician assistant, preceptor, and educator at Emory Healthcare, where she worked in hospital medicine, interventional radiology, and pulmonary and critical care medicine.
