Dr. Gjeorgjievski is originally from Macedonia, where he completed medical school at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, winning multiple awards as a medical student graduating with highest achievements.

Dr. Gjeorgjievski completed his internal medicine residency at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Royal Oak, Michigan, where he received the Beaumont Internal Medicine Resident of the Year Award and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Gjeorgjievski completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology there as well and served as one of the Chief Gastroenterology Fellows. Most recently, he completed an advanced endoscopy fellowship at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he received dedicated training in bariatric endoscopy, third space endoscopy including peroral endoscopic myotomy POEM, antireflux endoscopy therapy, EUS, and ERCP.

Dr. Gjeorgjievski has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, including Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Pancreatology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Digestive Diseases and Sciences, and World Journal of Gastroenterology. Over the course of his studies, he has been a frequent presenter at scientific conferences winning multiple awards. He participated as a plenary session presenter at Digestive Diseases Week, where has also received a poster of distinction award. He was also a presenter at the American College of Gastroenterology annual meetings, the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and participated at the Bariatric Endoscopy Live Global Course. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

Dr. Gjeorgjievski has a special interest in endoscopic treatment of obesity, pancreatic and biliary disease, as well as early-stage gastrointestinal cancers. In addition, he has specialized training in per oral endoscopy myotomy (POEM) for treatment of achalasia, gastroparesis, and esophageal diverticula. For a complete list of procedures, click here.
