Renee Brown is a graduate of the University of West Georgia in Carrollton where she received both an associate’s and bachelor’s degree in nursing. She also holds a master’s degree in nursing from South University through the adult nurse practitioner program where she graduated summa cum laude.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Renee began her career as a registered nurse at West Paces Medical Center in Atlanta. While there, she assisted patients in different wards, including renal/diabetic, neurology, medical-surgical, and post anesthesia, and she also served as a clinical coordinator. Most recently, she worked as a registered nurse in the gastrointestinal lab at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta where she assisted with procedures and training new staff.

Renee is a certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing. She also holds certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support.

Renee joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2016.
