United Digestive’s Dr. Aja McCutchen was recently named Chair of the Racial Health Equity Committee for the Digestive Health Physicians Association (DHPA).
Under her leadership, this committee will be working with DHPA to address racial health disparities regarding access and treatment in our communities nationwide, including supporting legislation and regulations at both the state and federal levels to eliminate health inequalities.
In addition, it will support community engagement and education efforts on preventive colon cancer screening, explore implicit bias training opportunities within healthcare practices, as well as other important initiatives.
