Elishia is a summa cum laude graduate of CUNY-Hunter College, Bellevue School of Nursing in New York, where she received a Bachelor of Science in community health education. After completing a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the New York University College of Nursing, she returned to the Bellevue School of Nursing and received a Masters of Science from the Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Program.

During her career, Elishia worked at Northwell Health System in Manhasset, N.Y., as a clinical nurse, a senior nurse and, most recently, as a nurse practitioner in hepatology.

She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as both a Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical and an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She is also certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.

Elishia is a member of the American Nurses Association, Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2022.
