The Center for Digestive & Liver Health, a United Digestive partner practice, sponsored this year’s Get Your Rear in Gear 5K in Savannah to continue promoting colon cancer awareness and prevention.

As North America’s largest 5K race series dedicated to raising awareness and funds for colon cancer prevention, the Get Your Rear in Gear events hold significant importance in the fight against this deadly disease. Funds generated from the Savannah race will remain in the community and support crucial initiatives, such as prevention, early detection, treatment, and projects promoting healthy living.

Dr. Mark Murphy, a physician with The Center for Digestive & Liver Health, expressed the organization’s enthusiasm for sponsoring such a meaningful cause:

“We are proud to have supported the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K in Savannah. Colon cancer is a significant health concern, and events like these play a vital role in raising awareness and funds for prevention efforts.”

Dr. Murphy also emphasized the community’s involvement in the event as a way of showing its support for colon cancer prevention, saying, “It was very encouraging to see people join us at the event. By coming together as a community, we are making a real difference in the fight against colon cancer.”
