Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Chau Tran is a dedicated physician assistant committed to delivering the highest-quality digestive health care. She has a special interest in colon cancer prevention, general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disorders, and motility disorders. 

Before joining Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, Chau worked as a physician assistant in orthopaedics and spine, where she gained valuable experience in preoperative assessments, post-operative care, and clinical procedures. She also served in geriatrics and internal medicine, managing chronic and acute conditions in rural and underserved areas. Additionally, Chau has experience providing patient care in long-term and sub-acute settings. 

Passionate about patient education and preventative medicine, Chau is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with her patients and improving their quality of life through comprehensive gastrointestinal care.

Habitat for Humanity

Outside of work, Chau enjoys cooking, gardening, and traveling. She is fluent in Vietnamese and actively volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.

I chose GI because of the diversity of the field which keeps work interesting, challenging, and rewarding. GI also provides the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and improve patient quality of life through the management of various conditions.
