Dear Valued Patient:
We hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe during this time.
As Georgia slowly begins to reopen businesses and services, we continue to monitor the prevalence of COVID-19 in our local communities. After great consideration for both the safety of our patients and our team, we plan to gradually expand our in-person care beginning the week of May 11, 2020.
Our phased approach includes the reopening of select offices and endoscopy centers, as well as resuming all diagnostic procedures. These procedures may have otherwise been delayed or rescheduled during the coronavirus pandemic while we focused on urgent, time-sensitive care.
Please note: Our physicians still recommend deferring elective screening and surveillance procedures at this time to help prioritize scheduling. These include colon cancer screenings and routine surveillance of digestive conditions with no active symptoms.
Additional Steps We’re Taking for You:
- Limit In-Person Appointments – To ensure we all maintain proper social distancing, we continue to limit the number of in-person appointments available at our facilities during a single day. If a previously scheduled office or procedure appointment will be impacted in any way, you will be contacted by our team.
- Virtual Appointments – We encourage all our patients to continue to take advantage of virtual or telehealth appointment options when appropriate. Using secure video chat technology, this allows you to both see and hear your physician and consult with them face-to-face from the comfort of your home.
- Masks – Following the CDC recommendations, we ask all patients and staff to wear masks while in our facilities. You are welcome to bring your own, or if you don’t have a mask, one will be provided upon arrival.
- Visit Experience – At your next visit, you will be asked a set of COVID-19 screening questions and your temperature will be checked before you are taken back to an exam room. In addition, any non-essential guests may be asked to wait in the car until your appointment is complete.
As always, the safety of both you and our team is our highest priority. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call your local office.
