Why Gastroenterology?
My interest in gastroenterology grew during my clinical training, where I developed an appreciation for the complexity of gastrointestinal disease and its impact on a patient’s overall health and quality of life. I was particularly drawn to the opportunity to care for patients during acute and chronic illness, work through complex clinical presentations, and provide education that helps patients better understand their health. I am also passionate about addressing health disparities and improving access to high-quality gastrointestinal care, particularly within underserved communities. These experiences inspired me to pursue gastroenterology as a specialty where I can combine evidence-based medicine with compassionate, patient-centered care.

Originally from South Carolina, Cameron enjoys working out, reading, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. She is also an Atlanta Braves fan, and enjoys Asian cuisine.
