Why Gastroenterology?

Gastroenterology is a fascinating specialty because it treats a wide range of conditions affecting multiple organs. It allows me to care for patients in the office while also performing procedures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy to help diagnose and treat digestive diseases, with the goal of improving patients’ quality of life.

Personal Life

In his spare time, Dr. Castaneda enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, hiking, playing tennis, and watching movies and soccer games. A self-proclaimed “foodie”, he is a fan of Peruvian and Japanese food.
