Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in health promotion, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia, and a Master of Medical Science in physician assistant studies from Mercer University. 

She brings valuable experience from her time as a physician assistant in the emergency departments at Emory Decatur Hospital and Emory Hillandale Hospital, where she completed a specialized fellowship in emergency medicine, further honing her clinical and procedural expertise. 

Certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Emily also holds certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support.  

Emily joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2024.

I developed my interest in gastroenterology while working in the emergency department, where I frequently treated patients with acute gastrointestinal conditions. Gastroenterology is a highly rewarding field that allows for the opportunity to improve patient quality of life through both acute interventions and preventative care.
