Gustavo D. Rivera, MD

Dr. Rivera was born and raised in Puerto Rico and is of Spanish descendant. He graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico with a Biology degree and a minor degree in Psychology. After college, Dr. Rivera spent over two years providing community health services to areas of critical need in Guadalajara, Mexico. From that experience, he felt a calling to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Rivera obtained his medical degree at Central Caribbean University School of Medicine in 2008. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at the Veterans Administration, Caribbean Healthcare System in Puerto Rico. His research experience includes colorectal cancer prevention.
