Why Gastroenterology?
I chose gastroenterology because it allows for a comprehensive approach to patient care, as GI conditions can involve multiple organs and significantly impact quality of life. I enjoy the variety and complexity within the specialty and have always found GI pathology both interesting and intuitive to understand. I am also particularly interested in the brain-gut connection and helping patients navigate the challenges that come with digestive health disorders.

As part of a military family, Jasmin was born in Germany and lived in multiple states during her father’s career. Away from work, she enjoys shopping, cooking and playing pickleball – or you may find her searching for the best Caribbean cuisine, a nod to her family’s homeland, Dominica.
