Why Gastroenterology?
I chose gastroenterology because to me it is a one of the more important organ systems since it helps us absorb nutrients and is our way to have food. GI involves so many organs within its system, it is fascinating. I love doing procedures and still being able to practice medicine to help patients.

Originally from Alabama, Dr. Tran stays active through golf, pickleball, and tennis. Outside of medicine, he enjoys creative building projects, traveling, and exploring new restaurants. A self-described foodie, he especially enjoys Asian cuisine. He also values spending time with his close-knit family and fiancée, Tanya.
