Dr. Clermont is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Dayton in Ohio where she received a bachelor’s degree in pre-medical sciences. While there, she was inducted to the Alpha Epsilon Delta honor society. She received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta where she also graduated magna cum laude and was recognized with the Emory University Service and Advocacy Award. In addition, she served as the Emory chapter president of the Student National Medical Association.
After completing both an internship and residency at Emory, she completed a fellowship in gastroenterology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During her training, Dr. Clermont was heavily involved in various professional organizations. She served on the Alliance of Minority Physicians at the University of Pennsylvania and was the founder and president of Emory’s Multicultural House-staff Alliance.
