Michelle P. Clermont, MD

After completing both an internship and residency at Emory, she completed a fellowship in gastroenterology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During her training, Dr. Clermont was heavily involved in various professional organizations. She served on the Alliance of Minority Physicians at the University of Pennsylvania and was the founder and president of Emory’s Multicultural House-staff Alliance.

Most recently, Dr. Clermont served as a course teaching fellow where she instructed second-year medical students at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She also served as a consultant gastroenterologist at Lourdes Medical Associates in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Dr. Clermont has been a poster presenter at various national professional conferences. She has contributed book chapters on endoscopy and esophageal cancer, as well as been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Current Gastroenterology Reports and Digestive Diseases and Sciences.

In addition to general gastroenterology, Dr. Clermont has a special clinical interest in esophageal disorders and is trained to perform and interpret high resolution manometry, pH impedance, and Bravo studies. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Clermont joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2020.
