Valencia holds both an associate degree and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Gordon State College in Barnesville, Ga. She received her Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner.
She began her medical career as a registered nurse and worked in the emergency room at Wellstar Spalding Medical Center in Griffin, and as a case manager at Phoebe Home Health in Albany. As a nurse practitioner, Valencia previously worked for CareConnect Health, a non-profit health care provider with multiple locations in Georgia, First Choice Primary Care in Macon, and Eagles Landing Family Practice (now Aylo Health) in Stockbridge. She most recently worked with the family medicine practice of Collier B. Gladin, M.D. in Macon.
Valencia is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is certified in basic and acute care life support.
She joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2024.
