Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers (GHAPP)
I chose gastroenterology because it reflects the body as a whole. GI conditions can affect patients from head to toe, and I view the gut as the body’s “second brain,” closely tied to physical and emotional well-being. My years as a GI nurse showed me how deeply these conditions impact daily life and reinforced the importance of education, early intervention, and continuity of care. Becoming a GI nurse practitioner allows me to expand that foundation and continue advocating for my patients in a meaningful way.
