The Center for Clinical Research was established in 1996 to support our physicians in applying their extensive clinical experience and knowledge to academic research in digestive diseases.

The Center has a full-time staff of trained and certified clinical research coordinators who are supervised by our Board Certified physicians. They have extensive experience as principal investigators in major trials, both nationally and internationally.

The Center is primarily involved in the performance of clinical drug trials to test the safety and efficacy of new drugs being developed to treat a wide range of digestive diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis (UC), hepatitis and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). In addition, the Center offers support to physicians who participate in registry studies.

Our research facilities are designed to ensure the accuracy of data collection and to maintain an extensive patient database for future clinical trials. All studies are FDA approved and monitored, and all protocols and guidelines are followed by the staff.
