Dr. Poré is a graduate of the University of Bombay in Bombay, India, where he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as postgraduate training in pediatrics and neonatology. While there, he served as an instructor in physical diagnoses and received the University’s Research Fellowship Award.

After coming to the United States, Dr. Poré completed a residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich., and served as an instructor in Physical Diagnoses at Detroit Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, then returned to Michigan to enter private practice in 2001.

Most recently, Dr. Poré was in private practice in the Johns Creek community and previously served as a consultant gastroenterologist for various hospitals around Mumbai, India. In addition to being published in many peer journals, including Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Infectious Diseases in Clinical Practice, and the Journal of the Association of Physicians of India, Dr. Poré has presented on various GI topics both in the United States and in India.

He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. In addition to general gastroenterology, Dr. Poré has a special interest in interventional endoscopy, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound, hepato-biliary-pancreatic endoscopy, and palliative therapies for patients with gastrointestinal cancers.

He joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2012, and currently serves as Chief of Gastroenterology at Emory Johns Creek Hospital.
