After receiving an associate degree in nursing from Dalton State College, Amanda Hinson completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton. She went on to receive a master’s degree in nursing from Kennesaw State University through the primary care nurse practitioner program.

Amanda began her career as a registered nurse in the cardiac, endoscopy, and intensive care units at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She continued her career as an endoscopy nurse for several years serving both the Macon and Stockbridge communities while completing her nurse practitioner training.

Previously, Amanda served as a nurse practitioner at AGA’s Stockbridge office for four years before joining the South Atlanta Vascular Institute as a nurse practitioner in 2020. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has more than 17 years of nursing experience. In addition, she holds certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support.

She returned to Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2021.
