Areas of Interest

A native of Canada, Dr. Kandiah is an honors graduate of the University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences. He received his medical degree from All Saints University in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where he was named valedictorian of his class. Dr. Kandiah completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Norwalk Hospital, Yale University, in Connecticut, where he served as chief resident. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Norwalk Hospital, serving as chief gastroenterology fellow. Dr. Kandiah was also a clinical instructor for The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont for two years.

He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the American College of Physicians (ACP), and the American Medical Association (AMA).

In addition to general gastroenterology, Dr. Kandiah has a special interest in treating hepatitis and pancreatic disorders. He joined The Center for Digestive and Liver Health in 2022 and sees patients in Savannah and Pooler.
