Kirsten Weiser, MD, MPH

Dr. Weiser began her medical career as an associate professor at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Dartmouth Mary Hitchcock Medical Center. During this time, she led numerous quality improvement initiatives, worked extensively in the functional and motility disorders clinic, and served as the director of pelvic floor disorders. Later, she joined Asheville Gastroenterology Associates in Asheville, N.C., and then the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where she continued her work in motility, functional GI disorders, and quality improvement in healthcare. Most recently, she joined the medical staff at the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind. as a GI hospitalist and member of the Quality Improvement and Executive committees.
Dr. Weiser has co-authored numerous articles and reviews, which have been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Gastroenterology and the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology. She has also presented abstracts at both national and international gastroenterology association meetings and served on the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) Practice Management committee.

Throughout her career, she has taught numerous medical students and medical residents and will continue to do so at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Ga. In 2024, she joined The Center for Digestive & Liver Health as a GI hospitalist.
