Born and raised in Atlanta, Dr. Stern completed his undergraduate degree at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his residency and served an additional year as Chief Resident of Medicine at Emory University. Dr. Stern completed his GI and Advanced Therapeutics Fellowship at the University of Michigan. He is trained in advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP.
He is Director of DeKalb Endoscopy Center and Director of Clinical Research at Atlanta Academic Research Group. Dr. Stern was named an Atlanta Magazine "Top Doc" for the past five years. He is interested in colon cancer screening, biliary disorders, and is the director of Heartburn Solutions Center at Dekalb Medical Center.
