Dr. Weissblatt recently relocated with his family to Lee County, from New York City, where he served as the Associate Program Director of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. As a physician who has lived and worked in New York City for over 10 years, Dr. Weissblatt is passionate about caring for his local community, including its diversity and access to the best possible gastrointestinal care. It is this commitment and passion for serving the local community that he hopes to bring to Lee County.

His passion for service started during his medical residency at New York Methodist Hospital, after which he was selected to be the Chief Medical Resident. Following his Chief Medical Residency, Dr. Weissblatt continued his training and specialized in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Dr. Weissblatt was subsequently appointed to the position of Associate Program Director for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at NYP- Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and has been a leader in his field, presenting at local and national conferences, and mentoring and teaching young gastroenterologists in training.

Dr. Weissblatt focuses on a wide array of conditions and preventive health concerns including colon cancer prevention, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, gluten-sensitive enteropathy, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and fatty liver. Board Certified in the field of gastroenterology, Dr. Weissblatt uses his procedural skills, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, to aid in his diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases. He is conveniently providing care to both our Cape Coral and Fort Myers office locations and provides superior, expedited, and compassionate Gastrointestinal care to our community.
