A native of India, Dr. Raju received a combined medical and surgery degree from the Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. After completing his internship at Kasturba Hospital in Manipal, he moved to the U.S. and worked as a research associate at the University of New Mexico Cancer Center in Albuquerque. Dr. Raju then completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at the Yale University School of Medicine, Bridgeport Hospital, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Dr. Raju is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Dr. Raju joined Gastroenterology Associates of Southwest Florida in 2004.
