Dr. Da Cunha believes that effective digestive care extends beyond treating symptoms. She works closely with patients to combine evidence-based medical care with lifestyle strategies that can help prevent, manage, and, in some cases, improve gastrointestinal and liver conditions.

In addition to general gastroenterology, Dr. Da Cunha has a special interest in colon cancer screening and prevention, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), constipation, diarrhea, and disorders of gut-brain interaction (formerly known as functional bowel disorders).

A native of Portugal, Dr. Da Cunha has presented at numerous national conferences and been widely published in peer-reviewed journals. She sees patients in Fort Myers and Cape Coral.
