ATLANTA, GA – United Digestive, a leading physician practice management company focused on gastroenterology, today congratulates Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Kimberly Orleck, PA-C, on receiving the American College of Gastroenterology’s (ACG) inaugural PA Award for Clinic Excellence. Kim was presented with the award at the ACG Leadership Gala in front of leaders in the field of gastroenterology this weekend in Charlotte, NC.
The award, new in 2022, “recognizes a distinguished physician assistant or nurse practitioner who is an ACG APP Member and has shown long-standing contributions to advancing clinical practice in the field of gastroenterology (GI) and hepatology,” according to ACG organizers.
“Kim is an outstanding leader at United Digestive and nationally,” shared Mark Gilreath, CEO of United Digestive. “She not only manages the recruiting, onboarding, and training of our APPs, but she also manages to provide excellent care for a very large and loyal patient base. Simply put, Kim is unparalleled.”
Kim joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, a partner practice of United Digestive, in 2009. She worked both inpatient and outpatient GI before taking on the role of APP Supervisor in 2015 and eventually being promoted to Director of APPs in 2021, now leading a team of 80 APPs in four states.
“Kim’s passion for the growth, development, education, and leadership of APPs is evident in everything she does,” added Dr. Neal C. Patel, President of United Digestive. “We could not be more proud of Kim and all that she’s accomplished to advance the careers of APPs in the field of gastroenterology.”
