Jaime holds a Bachelor of Science in child development from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health from NOVA Southeastern University’s physician assistant studies program. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Jaime began her career at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City before returning to Atlanta, where she has worked in both private practice and hospital settings. She joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2004 and has since worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, currently serving the Marietta community at the Kennestone clinic.

In addition to her clinical work, Jaime is dedicated to education and service. She is a part-time faculty member at Emory and Mercer Universities, teaching and mentoring Physician Assistant students. Jaime is also an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).

Why Gastroenterology?

I chose to specialize in Gastroenterology (GI) because it's a field that's always challenging and never routine. Every patient's situation is unique, and I must consider how multiple organs and systems are affected. I enjoy the process of piecing together the clues to diagnose and treat GI conditions. It's like solving a puzzle, and it keeps my work interesting and rewarding. I'm passionate about helping patients manage their digestive health, and I find fulfillment in the complexities of GI medicine.
